Amy Powell - Willow Yoga
How would you describe your business/brand?
Willow Yoga is a premium printed, eco-friendly yoga mat and towel brand. Our products are curated in our bespoke designs and our mats are made from natural rubber with a non-slip base. The luxe topping gives a real premium feel and has a superb grip. We’re best known for vibrant designs that brighten up your practice.
What inspired you to set it up?
I wanted to combine my love for all things print and pattern and with a background as a Textile Designer, I wanted to design a product that was not only visually appealing but brings joy to people’s yoga practice. The majority of yoga mats out there are plain and I felt there was a gap in the market for beautifully designed prints that inspire people to roll out their mat and practice.
What do you enjoy about your work most?
Hearing such lovely feedback that people are enjoying our products, makes me feel proud of my creation. Knowing our designs bring joy makes everything so worthwhile.
What are you most proud of?
Setting up a brand from scratch… following my heart and taking that leap of faith! Growing our Willow Yoga brand is at the forefront of our mind and to spread a little happiness and positivity to everyone's yoga practice with our designs.
What does living well mean to you?
Eating well, exercising regularly, and getting out in nature to breathe in the moment and to appreciate the small things. Most importantly being happy demonstrates you’re living well!
What does natural beauty mean to you?
I think natural beauty comes from within, feeling comfortable in your own skin and showing that by being happy, that’s what gives people a healthy glow.
What makes you glow?
Right now pregnancy - my skin has never been better!
What is your self-care ritual?
Finding time to be creative, I love having time to work up new print designs, and practicing yoga regularly, stretching out and getting some fresh air in the outdoors is pure bliss!
